Georgia's 2027-2031 Substance Use Prevention Strategic Plan 2027-2031

The Georgia Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (DBHDD), through its Office of Prevention Services (OPS), has developed a comprehensive five-year strategic plan to strengthen substance use prevention efforts across the state. This plan, covering federal fiscal years 2027-2031, was created in collaboration with the Georgia Health Policy Center (GHPC) and guided by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s (SAMHSA) Strategic Prevention Framework (SPF). It reflects a data-driven approach informed by extensive stakeholder engagement, including OPS staff, prevention providers, community members, and key partners from sectors such as education, law enforcement, healthcare, and recovery services.
